Fresh, hot, delicious food. It's so nice to have this option when I want to treat myself to takeout but not over do it with grease. I had a chicken schnitzel sandwich on whole wheat pita and it was full of fresh veggies, tangy sauce and breaded chicken. The side or roasted brussels sprouts were also great, not oily and not burned to a crisp. Still green and crunchy. But the best was my dessert, a malawach folded in half and spread with Nutella. I'd never had one before-- it's like filo pastry folded, and golden fried. Sort of like a cronut, only BIGGER. This is both wonderful (tasting) and DANGEROUS (sugar splurge) and I know I'll be abusing this privilege. Great meal and there was plenty leftover! Definitely worth ordering from.

I love Mediterranean food and Batata Pita Bar & Smoothies serve excellent fare. This is the second time I ordered from them and the food was excellent - fresh, well prepared, good portions. The food is pricey but well worth it in my experience with them so far. I will continue to order from this restaurant and will encourage others to order from them, as well.

Great place. Food is delicious- the schnitzel (fried chicken) is so good - and the falafel especially the sweet potato one tastes fresh healthy and really authentic middle eastern. Also really like the desert malawach - really nice thick flaky dough- perfect texture of crispy fluffy and moist...

The food is absolutely delicious. The cheese malawach and sweet potato falafel sandwich are my favorite things, which I crave very frequently! They often deliver earlier than the estimated timeframe, too.

So I stumbled upon this restaurant yesterday I walked in ordered and when I ate the food at work I was absolutely speechless, the food was so good I had to reorder today on grubhub while at work.

We order from Batata a lot. The food is amazing. On this particular order, there was a hiccup with delivery AND they forgot an extra pita that we ordered. It's the sort of thing that gets you thinking, "Hmm, should we stop ordering from them? Leave a negative review?" But they handled it so well -- rushed out the missing pita along with a comped hummus. More and more these days I judge places on how they handle mistakes rather than the mistake itself (every place has off moments). And Batata handled this very professionally. We remain huge fans.

I like the sandwiches (falafel, sweet potato falafel, and shawarma), but just had the arugula salad and it's my new favorite! Really good dressing, healthy but completely delicious ingredients (feta, quinoa, almonds and chickpeas). Get a couple falafel balls on the side if you want a less healthy (but delicious) version

Delicious falafel sandwiches, like "wow, that's delicious" delicious. GF always gets the chicken shwarma, yum too!

They don't deliver until you hit a ridic number ($20 when I last ordered), but don't fear, this is a neighborhood spot and you should go in person anyway. Plus, you could really use the exercise...

Love everything about this place. Delicious and consistent food, eco-friendly packaging, always courteous & helpful service. There's a reason why I order from here like 5x a week (and it's not just because I don't have time to cook!) :)

Falafel sandwich - excellent. Hummus with tahini- excellent. Pita- warm and soft. Quinoa and arugula salad- fresh and delicious. Too bad it has a $20 minimum for an order, but if they keep being tasty, it's worth it.

Batata is shenhav and deborah. We are inspired by israeli food - we crave it, we love it, we need it. We call it batata, which means sweet potato in Hebrew, because it captures what we have created- a place that is humble and nourishing but also a bit of a treat. We are so excited to see our vision become a reality, and to share our enthusiasm with you.
